I own the game on GOG and so tried downloading both the mac and Windows versions of the original game (I know scummvm doesn't support director's cuts) but I can't seem to get scummvm to add either version. Is this a thing that I should be able to do?

At the time I briefly worked on the engine to polish it up, I mulled whether the backgrounds could be scaled to a higher resolution, allowing for the player to be more finely drawn. But I abandoned the idea due to lack of interest in pursuing it further.

I wasn't particularly in love with the game's story, and since I was just working to finish the game engine rather than working on the game from scratch, I was also hampered by having a good overall understanding of the engine as well. All in all, by the end, I was already eager to move onto the next game engine.
[17:11] <grogbot> <DreamMaster> It's so much easier to play around with enhancements when working on a game from scratch. Like my current experiments enhancing Might & Magic 1 as I disassemble the original game and reimplement it 😄

[18:56] <grogbot> <DreamMaster> That reminded me to update my wiki page to add Chewy to the list of engines I've worked. I counted, and it's engine #21 that I've worked on. Though of course some were collaborative efforts, some were merely "finishing off" partially reimplemented engines, and some were porting existing code bases to be a ScummVM engine. Still, lets see how long it takes me to get to 30. 😆
