And can I count on it to always have the "versioninfo" key in older versions? (eg older Android versions used to name the config file scummvmrc. Was that identical with scummvm.ini?

This is suitable for all sound drivers and emulators that don't have a natural distinction between music and sound effects (basically all emulators; the emulators neither know nor care whether they play music or sound effects).
