[12:24] <grogbot> <eriktorbjorn> I just noticed this output when I run the configure script in Linux. That can't be right, can it? Checking best debug mode... -gSegmentation fault + var tracking
[12:27] <grogbot> <lephilousophe> ouch, this is the best debug mode ever 🙂
[12:33] <grogbot> <eriktorbjorn> I was looking for the flag to enable the LLD linker, but maybe that's suppose to be done automatically now?
[12:35] <grogbot> <lephilousophe> no it's not: you must use --enable-lld for this but maybe lld segfaults for you
[12:36] <grogbot> <eriktorbjorn> Ah, it's still there? But I didn't see it in the output from --help
[12:36] <grogbot> <eriktorbjorn> The lld linker has worked before.
[12:37] <grogbot> <lephilousophe> not everything is documented
[12:37] <grogbot> <lephilousophe> it worked for me around christmas
[12:37] <grogbot> <eriktorbjorn> I guess I must have found it without the documentation before. Anyway, it has kept working for me since I enabled it. I saw this error in a branch where I wanted to do a clean rebuild.
[12:40] <grogbot> <eriktorbjorn> And since the configure script just continues as if nothing happened, I don't know for how long it's been segfaulting at that point.
[12:49] <grogbot> <eriktorbjorn> It looks like it's the "dwp" command that segfaults for me. Maybe that's why it stopped creating those .dwp files, or whatever they're called. But that was quite a while ago.
[12:52] <grogbot> <eriktorbjorn> Maybe it's this bug? https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1002601

[17:13] <grogbot> <GandalfTheWhite> Can anyone reproduce this? I cannot enbale scaling for Bargon Attack (Amiga/English) (tried normal/2x, h2/2x etc.) - using 2.6.0- 14.01.2022 winx64 build. And when I close/exit the game the main window is tiny too (disgusting..)

[18:28] <WindlePoons> Hi, I just installed ScummVM Daily Build (Windows Installer 2022-01-14), but ScummVM shows ScummVM 2.6.0git2179-g25c63234e49 (Dec 27 2021 14:35:33).
[18:30] <grogbot> <rootfather> weird
[18:32] <grogbot> <rootfather> lets see
[18:36] <grogbot> <rootfather> yeah, the installer is broken. I'll try to fix it this weekend though
[18:36] <WindlePoons> Thanks reset :)
[18:37] <grogbot> <rootfather> In the meantime, you can use the 7z archive from here: https://scummvm.serra.me/scummvm-snapshot-2.6.0git-general-win32.7z
[18:38] <grogbot> <rootfather> That one contains the updated executable
[18:39] <WindlePoons> Yes I know, I just reported this for a friend.
[18:39] <grogbot> <rootfather> Thanks - I thought it was just a broken cronjob, but it seems my WINE installation decided not to want on this circuits anymore.
[18:42] <grogbot> <rootfather> Why can't Windows have a tiered app-store like Ubuntu has with the Snap packages... Want to get the stable builds? Just stay on the "stable" branch and Snap will update it for you. Want the latest and greatest? Just pick "edge" and you are good to go.
[18:42] <grogbot> <rootfather> But no. Downloading executables like 1999.
[18:43] <grogbot> <rootfather> </rant>
[18:45] <WindlePoons> I do not use Snap under Siduction.
[18:50] <grogbot> <rootfather> Actually, recompiling/updating WINE right now wasn't a good idea. I wonder how many builds will still fail... 😄
[18:53] <WindlePoons> Hoffentlich keine ;)

[18:56] <WindlePoons> Crap, the friend has reported the bug now. https://bugs.scummvm.org/ticket/13219
[18:57] <grogbot> <rootfather> No problem, I'll assign the report to myself
[20:33] <grogbot> <rootfather> WindlePoons, FYI: https://bugs.scummvm.org/timeline?from=2022-01-14T20%3A41%3A05Z&precision=second

[20:35] <WindlePoons> Da wird er sich freuen. :)
[20:35] <grogbot> <rootfather> 🙂
[20:36] <grogbot> <GandalfTheWhite> Only with OpenGL Renderer the new grid view (transparent pngs) are fine (windows) - but only with SDL the scaler is working with all games :-(. Ingame CTRL+ALT+ +/- is also only working with SDL
[20:40] <grogbot> <eientei> @sev ^
[20:45] <grogbot> <GandalfTheWhite> engine gob - opengl scaler not working at all (SDL is fine9
[20:47] <grogbot> <GandalfTheWhite> Gobliins -> initial scalers (OpenGl) not working but ingame CTRL+ALT+ +/-?
[20:48] <grogbot> <sev> @GandalfTheWhite interesting, we thought we fixed scalers in opengl
[20:49] <grogbot> <GandalfTheWhite> forget "not working at all" - they are working but not for all games as expected
[20:50] <grogbot> <ccawley2011> I think it might be because SdlGraphicsManager::initSizeHint still uses the old configuration key, and gob is one of the engines that uses it.
[20:50] <-- WindlePoons left irc: Quit: Ich bin dann mal weg
[20:50] <grogbot> <sev> could you please be a bit more specific?
[20:51] <grogbot> <GandalfTheWhite> OpenGL: gobliins -> initial size is always 1x, bargon attack -> scalers not working for me, discworld 2 -> i'm not able to change scaler ingame with opengl
[21:20] <grogbot> <ccawley2011> I've fixed part of the problem with PR #3667. With that PR, the window size will now match the selected scale factor.
[21:22] <grogbot> <ccawley2011> There's still an issue when the defaults are used because the OpenGL graphics manager defaults to 1x scale, since the GPU normally scales the image to fit the window size.
[21:26] <grogbot> <ccawley2011> However, since the OpenGL graphics manager no longer adjusts the window size to match the game, should initSizeHint just do nothing when OpenGL is active?
[22:36] --> BrainChild joined #scummvm.
[23:47] <grogbot> <Ryouga> Quick one here I hope, I notice recent versions of ScummVM are just an exe and single file, old versions required other files to be in folder inc scummclassic and scummmodern, are these no longer needed?
[23:49] <grogbot> <Henke37> those files are baked into the executable as resources by default these days
[23:52] <grogbot> <Ryouga> Thanks
