[13:03] <stroggoff> Another article popped up today about Blade Runner. This one is based on the Ars Technica video and reports on the special ending that Louis Castle mentioned.

[13:07] <stroggoff> For what is worth, it seems that the additional line you would get by Steele is not actually in the game :D . I think Castle meant something along the lines of "I didn't know you had it in you, Slim".
[13:08] <stroggoff> Because you can get a small extra dialogue exchange between Steele and McCoy if you kill the Replicants (while Steele is outside the moonbus and waiting at the Kipple, but also has very low opinion / friendliness towards McCoy)

[18:48] <peterkohaut> stroggoff: there is no such thing in game... and i've see every ending dozens of times, but there are leftovers and signs of some special ending with steele
[18:49] <peterkohaut> as you mentioned, i think there was ending with steele where she didnt like mccoy
[18:52] <peterkohaut> there are many leftovers which never got to final game, like steele able to solve some crimes
[18:53] <peterkohaut> whole romace with steele was cut out, only the ending suggested something
[19:00] <peterkohaut> and louis castle is exaggarating a bit, that "normals layer" is not in game, fog effects are used in 2-3 rooms, br is in no way an open world game, its standard adventure room and a bit more realtime actors

[19:53] <eriktorbjorn> peterkohaut: How much do your choices in the game really affect the outcome? My vague recollection (from several years ago, playing Bladerunner in Wine) is that the second time I played through it, I did everything I could to save every replicant I encountered. But they still hated me, and the whole thing ended in a shootout that I couldn't seem to avoid.
