[00:06] Giant Steps? Isn't that a famous jazz song by John Coltrane? [00:13] bit of an odd question, but considering the fact that the non-remastered datafiles needed for ScummVM can be found in the files of the Monkey Island 1+2, DoTT, and Full Throttle remasters, is there any possibility the same can be done with Grim Fandango? They seem to have moved stuff around and also merged stuff (maybe for multilingual support) in the data files, so the "classic" data files are not somewhere hidden to be extracted in their original form. They are modified. I do believe that the plan is that eventually the remastered version will be supported, but that could be a long way [08:20] from now. I see that it can be loaded up from a daily build, but expect glitches and bugs. [08:25] In theory though, it should be possible to do it, provided they did not flat out delete old stuff. But one would have to rebuild the original data files from what is there in the remastered version [08:26] _sev (~sev@scummvm/sev) left irc: Quit: This computer has gone to sleep [08:34] _sev (~sev@93-75-226-254.lvv.volia.net) joined #scummvm. The scripts are slightly adjusted, and the menus are modified. So with the release version of ScummVM you cant really play. There is however work in progress support for the remastered version in the nightly builds, but stuff like aspect ratio is quite broken currently, and Im not sure its actually completable.
