[14:56] <Grogbot> <Mataniko> It may be another world of hurt to recompile the toolchains, plus some of them are not documented well enough. I have no idea where the DC toolchain came from for example

[15:02] <Grogbot> <ccawley2011> Regarding old versions of shared libraries, the N64, Dingux and OpenPandora toolchains keep a copy of the required shared libraries in /opt/toolchains/legacy-shared-objects/ and set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable before building. Presumably, the same thing can be done for toolchains requiring libmpc3.

[20:52] <Grogbot> <JoesGuy> I hope this is the place to be for bug reports. I've been combing through dozens of playthroughs of Westwood's Blade Runner, and have found a few things worth bringing up. ;D
[20:54] <Grogbot> <Henke37> are you using daily builds? the game is in quite the active development
[20:55] <Grogbot> <Praetorian> @JoesGuy it's a good place. If it's not known bugs we may need some details like which dev build you are using for ScummVM, which version of the game you're playing, which OS, maybe a save game etc. The bug tracker would be better in that case
[21:01] --> BeefEats joined #scummvm.
[21:05] <Grogbot> <Praetorian> @JoesGuy are you still around?
[21:08] <Grogbot> <JoesGuy> Yep, still here
[21:09] <Grogbot> <JoesGuy> Just digging through the details first, lol.
[21:09] <Grogbot> <Praetorian> 😃 ok, that's fine. I'm just curious about the bugs we missed
[21:10] <Grogbot> <JoesGuy> Only 3-ish so far.
[21:10] <Grogbot> <JoesGuy> One hasn't been reproducable yet.
[21:11] <Grogbot> <JoesGuy> And there's also a subtitle typo/debatable mistake, but not sure if that is applicable here.

[21:12] <Grogbot> <Praetorian> It is
[21:13] <Grogbot> <JoesGuy> So I'm on 2.1.0 gitbuild 5976-g13dbfbd8d7 (Jul 2 2019 15:10:17) and what I have found are as follows:
[21:14] <Grogbot> <JoesGuy> 1) One instance of the "Blade Runner" ending had the bed-ridden Clovis on the Moonbus standing in place. Only gotten it once so far, but never got it on the vanilla game.
[21:15] <Grogbot> <JoesGuy> 2) A crash on first visit to the police station, floor 2, with the report on the tv playing. Clicking the bulletin board cause a crash (the only one I found)
[21:15] <Grogbot> <Praetorian> clipping through the bed bunker
[21:15] <Grogbot> <Henke37> the fun of randomized games
[21:16] <Grogbot> <Praetorian> hmm bug 2 is interesting. I'll try to reproduce
[21:16] <Grogbot> <JoesGuy> 3) At teh start of act 3, going North from Yukon leads to the sushi restaurant from act 1. Going to the bar and then walking back to the right scene transistion plays a "spinner transistion" movie.
[21:18] <Grogbot> <JoesGuy> Unless I've forgotten anything, the only other two are subtitle related:
[21:18] <Grogbot> <JoesGuy> 1) Line at Tyrell building when talking to the security guard displays "rd." instead of "Dr."
[21:19] <Grogbot> <JoesGuy> Let's see if I can quote it, actually.
[21:19] <Grogbot> <Praetorian> That one is fixed (but not uploaded as a new subtitles file yet)
[21:19] <Grogbot> <Praetorian> it was reported here: https://bugs.scummvm.org/ticket/10997
[21:19] <-- whiterandrek left irc: Quit: Leaving
[21:22] <Grogbot> <Praetorian> Could you elaborate a bit more on bug 3? I'm uncertain about the screen transition that triggers the bug
[21:23] <Grogbot> <Praetorian> oh no nevermind. Just reproduced it 😃
[21:23] <Grogbot> <JoesGuy> Lol yep there was "Dumped them it a sewer" too
[21:23] <Grogbot> <JoesGuy> Yeah, that's a weird one.
[21:26] <Grogbot> <JoesGuy> The only other subtitle issue is more of a "possible" mistake. I could be wrong, but just in case, there's the line from Hannoy at the nightclub when asked where Early Q is. The subtitle states "Wolf-wolf fat farm" when I'm fairly sure he actually says "Off-world fat farm." His accent is a pain, to be sure, so I might be completely off there.
[21:29] <Grogbot> <Praetorian> Hanoi, Sadik, Crazylegs (and Rajif but he has a few lines) were a pain to transcribe. I still have some of them as pending because I am unsure if I got the text right
[21:30] <Grogbot> <Praetorian> Off-World makes more sense I guess.

[21:50] <Grogbot> <JoesGuy> Oh, I forgot one more bug! This one might be exclusive to the restored content version, though.
[21:55] <Grogbot> <JoesGuy> It involves the projector in the nightclub and only if Dektora is the last person you meet in act 3. If you haven't yet examined the film projector up the stairs from the stage, you cannot shoot it without Ray commenting on it first, even with your gun drawn. This results in death. XD
[21:55] <Grogbot> <Praetorian> Hm the projector bug should have been fixed already

[21:59] <Grogbot> <Praetorian> @Joefish could you try with the most recent build to check if that projector bug is fixed for you?

[22:07] <Grogbot> <JoesGuy> Seems like it's all fixed. 😄
[22:08] <Grogbot> <Praetorian> thanks for confirming. One less bug then
[22:08] <Grogbot> <Praetorian> About the crash (bug 2 in Police Station Floor 2). Was it with the restored content version? Do you have a saved game? I can't reproduce it
[22:10] <Grogbot> <JoesGuy> I think it was the restored content version, yes. I'll see if I can reproduce it with that same playthrough, though it's only happened once in about 10 playthroughs now.

[22:10] Nick change: DominusExult -> Dominus
[22:11] <Grogbot> <Praetorian> Ok. Let me know if you can reproduce it. I'll have a look anyway, but so far no luck (original and restored content versions alike)
[22:13] <Grogbot> <JoesGuy> So far no luck on that. It might've just been a one off on my end.
[22:14] <Grogbot> <Praetorian> hm, I 'll look into it a bit more
[22:17] <Grogbot> <JoesGuy> It was on a build from nearly three weeks ago, so there's a chance it was ironed out already, but then again, I'd been on that build for at least two of those three weeks and never encountered it again. I also can't quite remember if the crash was on Act 1 or Act 2. >_<
[22:23] <Grogbot> <Praetorian> Do you remember if the crash mentioned some assetion fault? About sinetables?
[22:26] <Grogbot> <JoesGuy> Unfortunately not, it just closed the program. Is there a crashlog I can refer to?
[22:27] <Grogbot> <Praetorian> I should know that.... But unfortunately I don't...
[22:28] <Grogbot> <JoesGuy> There is a scummvm.log file I've found, but it's not got anything of interest in it, unfortunately.
[22:43] #scummvm: mode change '+o Strangerke' by ChanServ!ChanServ@services.
[22:52] <Grogbot> <SupSuper> the logfile is reset every startup, so you'd have to have saved it after the crash
[22:53] <Grogbot> <SupSuper> any debug messages or error calls will be logged there, but if it's a c++ crash it probably won't have much
[23:12] <Grogbot> <JoesGuy> Darn
