[01:20] <grogbot> <eientei> I think I found a new Mohawk game?
[01:34] <-- BrainChild left irc: Quit: Keep smiling and bye for now.
[01:39] <grogbot> <trembyle> There's probably a bunch of Living Books games that aren't in detection tables.
[01:39] <grogbot> <trembyle> But that great if you have something that you want to submit!
[01:41] <-- SylvainTV left irc: Ping timeout: 245 seconds
[01:45] <grogbot> <eientei> Not a Living Books title, surprisingly
[01:45] <grogbot> <eientei> Broderbund game called In the 1st Degree
[01:47] <grogbot> <eientei> Definitely uses MHWK resources at least
[01:49] <grogbot> <eientei> Trust me when I say that most of the recent Living Books Mac demos are from me :p
[01:50] <grogbot> <Seri> just tested all my mohawk titles. for better or worse, kidpix 4 comes up as an unknown variant of one of 4 nancy drew titles

[02:49] <grogbot> <trembyle> What's the EXE name? It probably shouldn't be a super common filename.
[03:03] <grogbot> <Seri> uhh. not sure. looking deeper, this may be the cd contents as there's an autoplay.exe and ini. been so long since i copied it off the discs for clone2727 and the cd is at my parents somewhere
[03:04] <grogbot> <eientei> How do I tell what DAT to hash for detection lol
[03:12] <grogbot> <Seri> zoombinis, kidpix3, and carmen all don't detect, but not sure how much of those are hardcoded logic with mohawk resources, and how much are driven by scripts
[03:21] <grogbot> <Die4Ever> is Where In Space Is Carmen Sandiego using the Mohawk engine?
[03:21] <grogbot> <Seri> mine is where in the world
[03:23] <grogbot> <Die4Ever> there's a demo here https://archive.org/details/WhereinSpaceisCarmenSandiegoDeluxeEdition_1020
[03:25] <grogbot> <Die4Ever> this one might be the same demo https://archive.org/details/msdos_WISPACE_shareware
[03:25] <grogbot> <djsrv> oh man, is kid pix 3/4 support possible?
[03:25] <grogbot> <djsrv> without a ton of work, i mean
[03:26] <grogbot> <Seri> my memory is not faulty either it seems. In the 1st Degree (among others) used to be in the detection tables
[03:32] <grogbot> <Seri> that dos one looks to be differ. mine is a windows one with a bunch of .mhk files
[03:32] <grogbot> <eientei> https://github.com/scummvm/scummvm/commit/44fd44ccc965b91a38c534e0a890772e83577c4b#diff-9bb87f0e2d90a593fbe9b0cdd1a6c4c5283553c3b7b5dfa823a235c7f7992d64
[03:33] <grogbot> <eientei> Honestly sure why they were removed, would have maked them as unstable or something
[03:34] <grogbot> <eientei> or at least IFDEF'd them out
[03:34] <grogbot> <Die4Ever> the wiki lists Where In Space Is Carmen Sandiego as a Mohawk engine game, should that be changed? https://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php?title=Where_in_Space_is_Carmen_Sandiego%3F
[03:37] <grogbot> <Seri> dunno. i was just looking at the zip contents, but didn't examine the actual .dat file binary
[03:47] <grogbot> <Disco> hey guys
[03:47] <grogbot> <Disco> any idea if I play Indy and the Last Crusade on ScummVM I can get MT-32 music or general midi to work?
[03:47] <grogbot> <Disco> i know the game didn't support them at release....

[19:24] <grogbot> <Disco> hey guys
[19:24] <grogbot> <Disco> just gonna repeat that question from last night
[19:24] <grogbot> <Disco> i'll prob buy the game anyway but
[19:24] <grogbot> <Disco> any idea if I play Indy and the Last Crusade on ScummVM I can get MT-32 music or general midi to work? i know the game I think is only meant to support ad-lib
[19:31] <grogbot> <SirYodaJedi> Uh, I'm pretty sure the answer is no; ScummVM doesn't have any Ad-Lib -> MIDI functionality for SCUMM titles. If you want higher-quality music, then you'll need to track down the FM Towns version, since that uses CD audio tracks directly from the film (which online storefronts unfortunately don't include).
[19:50] --> BrainChild joined #scummvm.
[19:59] <grogbot> <Disco> yeah i read about that FM towns version
[19:59] <grogbot> <Disco> i watched a playthrough and it used music from the film some, but then it seemed to have no music elsewhere?
[20:04] <grogbot> <Disco> any idea if the FM towns version is supported by Scumm if I track down the files?
[20:06] <grogbot> <rootfather> If "tracking down" means "buying the game", yes, it's supported according to https://www.scummvm.org/compatibility/DEV/indy3/
[20:06] <grogbot> <Disco> I mean, the FM towns audio files - looks like I found them--I plan on buying the game if I can get these audio files to work
[20:08] <grogbot> <Disco> are both the GOG and Steam games the VGA versions?

[21:06] <grogbot> <rzil> perhaps could be useful to add the links from https://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Where_to_get_the_games to the links section in each game's compatility page🤔
[21:08] <grogbot> <SupSuper> they're already linked in the wiki pages

[21:14] <logix> happy birthday :)
[21:15] <grogbot> <Disco> i got booted? wtf? I bought the game
[21:15] <grogbot> <Disco> i dont pirate
[21:16] <grogbot> <Disco> there must have been a misunderstanding--i've been a long time Sierra and Lucasarts fan--every game i've bought
[21:16] <grogbot> <Disco> i was just interested in getting the audio from the FM towns to work with it
[21:17] <grogbot> <DreamMaster> That's piracy. You admitted "I mean, the FM towns audio files - looks like I found them".
[21:18] <grogbot> <DreamMaster> Please drop the matter, and don't repeat it.
[21:18] <grogbot> <Disco> theres no other way to get the files anymore, i mean i bought the game, was just interested in improving the matter
[21:18] <grogbot> <Disco> alright
[21:25] <Endy> Sadly I think the GOG copy of Zak is the only one to include legitimate FMTowns assets
[21:31] <grogbot> <Khvostik> Maybe I'm missing something but advanced launcher stuff like icons and boxes art of games with language flags etc. not got in 2.5.0?
[21:31] <grogbot> <sev> no
[21:31] <grogbot> <sev> it is not even in the master yet

[22:36] <grogbot> <IlDucci> A quick question: what is the keymapper? Seems like a new term or one that doesn't follow the existing ones
[22:38] <grogbot> <SupSuper> this thing:

[22:39] <grogbot> <IlDucci> Well, that's the issue, I guess
[22:40] <grogbot> <IlDucci> That the term is keymaps
[22:40] <grogbot> <IlDucci> Not keymapper
