Actually, the only part I never could work out is the end of the opening monologue ("so many memories among the sadly shattered rooms of Mortville Manor", I think), but that may have been due to my lacking understanding of English back then.
[11:27] <Grogbot> <Jaderlund> Now that I think about it, the main difference from the original, apart from the French accents, is that the "modern" voices sound much less sad.

[13:38] <Grogbot> <criezy> If somebody wants to reverse engineer the whole thing I would not be opposed to having an option to choose between the original phoneme based synthesis and the host system synthesis.

[18:11] <Strangerke> criezy: We have the assembly sources of the DOS version... For the Amiga and Atari versions (not yet supported) it would be another problem as it was using the TTS included in the OS
[18:15] <Strangerke> The main issue is that we introduced the possibility to mix the versions in order to have support for an English support
[18:16] <Strangerke> The phonems provided in the original games are the ones for the original game, so we could end with an English version using German phonems... Brrrr
