[07:21] Question - someone was having an issue (bug) with their Quest for Glory IV game in ScummVM - I asked them to send me their save game - and I threw it in my save game folder - but my ScummVM can't seem to "see" their save game? Any ideas why that might be? I know the dos version had a .CAT file it would use - but I don't see any such file when it's using ScummVM. [07:29] make a new save game. compare their names. that might be the lead... [07:31] e.g.: you might see that your save games have names like qfg4.002, while your friend's save game is named qfg4-something.003 [07:31] so, just rename his save game to match your save games convention [07:32] That was my first thought. They're named the same - I know when you save a game in QFGIV, you need to give it a name. And I am wondering because of that, if it's not seeing it. The qfg4-cd.002 is their save game. It was originally named qfg4.003 so I renamed it to include -cd like my save game did. [07:32] https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/581224061091446795/773811895634624572/file.png [07:33] well, I'm not familiar enough with qfg4, but it's possible that this -cd extension is critical. It might be even recognized as a 'different game'. Since I'm not sure here, let's wait for more knowledgeable responses... [07:34] (Do you have a non-CD version of QFG4 to try?) [07:34] Yeah. I am wondering if his is using the QFGIV disk version rather than CD. Gonna try that. Thanks! [07:34] > Yeah. I am wondering if his is using the QFGIV disk version rather than CD. Gonna try that.
