I looked at the configuration.cpp and it seems to use mixture of "yes/no" and "true/false" ... so when you set things in the game interface and save them, they don't work. but if I manually change (for example double_click etc input settings) the "yes" word to "true" in scummvm.ini they get loaded correctly when game starts.

[13:50] <grogbot> <criezy> Also hopefully the flow problem is fixed. The server was supposed to update the pot file automatically, but there was an issue and it was not doing it. So we had to do it manually (and it is easy to cause conflict when we do that). But the pot update on the server has been fixed now.

It resets when I call MidiPlayer::setVolume() once the game is running but doesn't seem to take the settings when initially creating the midiplayer object. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong here?
