[16:44] <grogbot> <thoth> Dropsy is pretty great by all accounts. I played the developer's other game, Hypnospace Outlaw, and that game is excelletn.
[17:01] <grogbot> <antoniou79> It did some beta testing (voluntary basis, as a backer) for it, and by the time it was out I was kind of burned out. Still interesting idea, and some nice moments. The story was a lot more ambitious in the early designs and I think in the end it ended up being a bit vague on some spots.
[17:02] <grogbot> <antoniou79> There was also supposed to be an expansion for the game, but that was never released. I think the developer still mentions it from time to time.

[17:40] <grogbot> <antoniou79> I don't think it was officially cancelled ever. It's probably a combo of insufficient budget and resources (time) to complete it. It was supposed to add an extra area to the game (the beach) which would be sort of optional anyway (I think).

I too started playing it and then fell off intending to wait until the DLC but well... no DLC. I started his latest game but never got too far. Met him at GDC two years ago, as a thanks for being a KS backer for both Dropsy and Hypnospace Outlaw he gave me a super duper rare physical
