[02:43] <grogbot> [discord] <dreammaster> One small step for a Montand, one giant leap for MADS. In a bit of puttering around during my work lunch, I was able to figure out why the conversation wasn't ending. And with another fix for loading the room hotspot list, I'm finally able to move the character around the screen a bit. 🎉 There's still the big black rectangle on-screen, so obviously there's something going wrong with the popup dialog removal. And the character d

[06:21] <grogbot> [discord] <gu3> In theory, you can use https://github.com/OpenRakis/Spice86 to perform an integrated DOS debugging (that is, if the game runs on it). Also, they recently added an MCP, so you offer your agent to debug what's wrong.
[06:23] <grogbot> [discord] <dreammaster> Intriuging idea. Thanks, that may be useful if more in-depth debugging is required.

[15:39] <grogbot> [discord] <retrodroidgaming> Good Sirs, the ScummVM for Nintendo DS, the latest version is the unsupported one from 2010-12-23, there isn't any newer uppdate done to it?

[15:40] <grogbot> [discord] <retrodroidgaming> wanted to test it on RG DS under Linux using Drastic emulator for DS 🙂 (edited)
[15:41] <grogbot> [discord] <ccawley2011> The latest version for DS is v2.9.1, and more recent nightly builds are available from the Buildbot.
[15:42] <grogbot> [discord] <ccawley2011> The latest version for DS is v2.9.1 from last year, and more recent nightly builds are available from the Buildbot. (edited)
[15:43] <grogbot> [discord] <retrodroidgaming> that's DSi version
[15:44] <grogbot> [discord] <ccawley2011> In that case, you'll have to stick with v1.2.1 for now.
[15:45] <grogbot> [discord] <ccawley2011> That said, I'd be interested to know why you're trying to run the DS port under emulation rather than using a native Linux build.
[15:45] <grogbot> [discord] <retrodroidgaming> I didn't think of it until now... 🙂
[15:46] <grogbot> [discord] <retrodroidgaming> but then on DS I can use both screens, on linux only one
[15:53] <grogbot> [discord] <ccawley2011> The DS port mainly uses the dual screen layout to display the game scaled to fit on the touch screen, and zoomed in with 1:1 pixel scale on the top screen. The RG DS apparently has 640*480 displays, so it should get the best of both on either screen.

[19:34] <grogbot> [discord] <gu3> Almost forgot screenshot Friday! There is a small feature in Total Eclipse for Amiga/Atari that is exclusive for these platforms: the lantern. Some room are completely black, so you need to use your latern to navegate them, make a wise use of your batery as there is no way to recharge it! Only the Amiga/Atari had the hardware that allowed to gradually transform the colors toward black, that's probably it was not possible to do it in other
