Over the last week I divided my time between doing some initial cleanups of the MADS engine codebase, as well as further work implementing the changes needed for Rex Nebular. It actually may have been a mistake doing the cleanups first - I accidentally removed some screen shaking code from the MADSV2 codebase that it turned out was only used by Rex. So I had to add some stubs for it back into my br

That includes the difficulty selection screen, though not yet the startup title menu. The startup cutscene works with Rex getting up off the ground, and I get control to start playing. Now I'll just have to build on that. There are already a variety of issues showing, such as the pathfin

Especially considering all the time I've already spent reformatting all the game's room-specific logic into the same format as all the other games. It seems likely I'll be able to get Rex to run on the MADSV2 engine core, and have a single core codebase in common for all the games.
