[00:29] <grogbot> [discord] <ogarvey> Interesting stuff, wonder if there's anything in the CD-i games (Laser Lords, Alice In Wonderland) that's related. I noticed Below The Root which Dale DeSharone also worked on, looks to - from screenshots at least - use a similar screen layout and tile system
[00:30] <grogbot> [discord] <ogarvey> Although looking at the list of games, Below The Root doesn't appear

[06:57] <grogbot> [discord] <nutzzzo> The original Below the Root and Alice games shared an engine, though it's different from the SAS one that I'm investigating. (And the CD-i ones are remakes, so it'll be yet another engine behind those...) But definitely those are games that could do with more attention.

[21:43] <grogbot> [discord] <nutzzzo> @eientei Right. I read something in my research (on Wikipedia I think?), that mentioned how the designer was disappointed with the IBM and Apple II ports, since they had less colors than the Atari ST and C64.
[21:44] <grogbot> [discord] <nutzzzo> I'm trying to understand the C64 graphics as it compares to the IBM, and I'm not sure it carries over at all
