[12:32] <mudlord> hi
[12:32] <mudlord> was there a license exemption for Double Fine?
[12:33] <mudlord> I guess I wouldnt even get an answer
[12:33] <mudlord> because I found something odd
[12:34] <Strangerke|work> Hi! What did you notice?
[12:34] <mudlord> I noticed some strings in the executable that directly match with ScummVM
[12:35] <mudlord> Also, the code offsets is extremely odd
[12:35] <mudlord> as in, suspicious
[12:35] <mudlord> http://imgur.com/a/6SpRK
[12:36] <-- geep left irc: Ping timeout: 240 seconds
[12:36] <mudlord> their executable is 32bit
[12:36] <mudlord> but I thought some things were VERY odd
[12:36] <mudlord> and I thought you guys gave them a license exemption
[12:36] <mudlord> but I even see a CONTRIBUTING in the file list
[12:37] <mudlord> I found a internal filelist in the executable
[12:37] <mudlord> that could match with the 5GB data file
[12:37] <mudlord> I see no "CONTRIBUTING" or other license files on disc
[12:38] <Strangerke|work> Hum, nice. Well, I know nothing about this release, I'll have to buy it in order to check. Maybe some other member own it and will check before :)
[12:38] <mudlord> http://imgur.com/a/pH04n
[12:39] <Strangerke|work> Thanks for the hint :)
[12:39] <mudlord> yeah, I raised it on my twitter, because I normally disassemble stuff for fun
[12:39] <mudlord> and I found this really bothers me
[12:39] <mudlord> since
[12:39] <mudlord> A) I loved ScummVM when I was a kid
[12:39] <Strangerke|work> If you like disassembling things, you should contribute to ScummVM ;)
[12:39] <mudlord> B) I love Full Throttle
[12:40] <Strangerke|work> (The more, the merriest)
[12:40] <mudlord> yeah, this is the Full Throttle Remastered rls on GOG atm
[12:40] <mudlord> 32bit binary
[12:40] <mudlord> http://imgur.com/a/pH04n
[12:41] <mudlord> for some parts they use SDL/zlib/theora/vorbis it seems
[12:41] <mudlord> maybe like a hybrid engine Blizzard is doing with SC1
[12:41] <mudlord> and its remake
[12:43] --> geep joined #scummvm.

[12:45] <mudlord> String="ScummGameTask"
[12:50] <Strangerke|work> Maybe it's part of the original engine
[12:50] <mudlord> hmmm
[12:51] <mudlord> SDL seems to be bundled in
[12:52] <mudlord> http://imgur.com/a/D5Bcp
[13:00] <wjp> It's quite possible we duplicate error messages from the original scumm engine
[13:01] <mudlord> oh
[13:04] <mudlord> thought this was weird
[13:04] <mudlord> http://imgur.com/WTSaCQI
[13:08] <mudlord> (x64dbg comes with a built in decompiler)
[13:21] <LePhilousophe> maybe not the same code: look at the end of the 2nd loop eax8->f0 = 0; and vm.nest[i].slot = 0xff;
[13:23] <mudlord> yeah, the nukearrays code seems not there
[14:05] <Tea> mudlord: Did you find similar stuff in DOTT, or even MISE by any chance?
[14:05] <Tea> afaik DOTT and MISE are the same engine, but I haven't downloaded FT yet

[15:26] <snover> m_kiewitz, waltervn, wjp do any of you have an annotated sci0 idb you can send me, or can you check to see how scripts blocks were loaded? im guessing that the interpreter loops over all the blocks in the script and has some `switch` in the loop for handling each block type, and so if there are 2 exports blocks the second one overrides the first one, but i want to make sure that is the case.
[15:31] <wjp> I don't think I have any relevant SCI0 IDB
[15:31] <waltervn> I don't have one unfortunately. lskovlun might
[15:31] <waltervn> not sure if he uses/used IDA though
