[20:43] <snover> criezy: my primary concern is whether the buildbot changes can land without it being done, as i would like to finally have that work finished so i can check it off my list. i still have to restore the build command for the ppc build and otherwise i havent received any other feedback on needed changes.

[20:54] <criezy> From what I remember, the main limitation I saw with your PR was generating static builds in environments that contain both static and dynamic libraries.
[20:55] <criezy> For the PR, I would be tempted to close them and indicate we expect a more consequent pull request that actually changes the source code for GSoC applicants. I also need to check that this information is on the wiki.
[20:56] <criezy> Also I spotted that at least one of the changes should be done though ("it's label" -> "its label"), so going quickly over the proposed README changes and redoing them manually might be a good idea.
